Extremely rare and hard to obtain, these artisan ornamental Aztec shot glasses are only made by a few traditional artisans just outside of Jalisco, Mexico.
Pre-hispanic (1 AD to 500 CE) Style Crafted Glasses, design-based on Masks of Mayan Gods Discovered at “Teotihuacan” which means “Place where the gods were made” in Nahuatl (native language). The later Aztecs saw these magnificent ruins and claimed a common ancestry with the Teotihuacanos, modifying and adopting aspects of their culture.
They are made from a mix of special clay, using a traditional open fire baking process, then sealed to make them drinkable.
No pieces are the same and they stand roughly 4.0" tall and are 2.5" wide.
