Rum Lover
Rum is made from sugar cane and fermented in barrels. A good rum has a broad spectrum of flavours, from caramel and vanilla to smoke and earth. After ageing, it may be filtered through charcoal to remove some colour and oaky flavours to create white rum—generally preferred for mixed drinks. Dark rum maintains more charred flavours and is best enjoyed neat or with a glass of ice.
